Rio Villa Nuevo Mineral Water Resort, Indang Cavite.

Kauna-unahan kong maranasang mag-swimming sa isang mineral water spring at sigurado akong hindi ito ang kahuli-hulihan. Eto na siguro ang pina-presko sa katawan na tubig na aming napag-liguan, malinis at masarap unlike seawater or poolwater. Di na nga kailangan pang magbanlaw, di nakangangati kasi walang salt or chlorine. Hirap nga lang bumiyahe kasi tago sya, pero ayos lang, sulit naman! :)

Syempre di mawawala ang napakasarap na kainan! Inihaw na sariwang bangus at tilapia na may kasamang itlog na maalat na hinaluan ng kamatis, sibuyas at luya na sinawsawan ng toyo't kalamansi!

Just got back from our Golden Sunset Resort trip.

Facilities:
1. Pool with slides and mini-waterfalls
2. Jacuzzi
3. Butterfly Sanctuary
4. Billiards
5. Darts
6. Beach Volleyball court
7. Fish pond
8. Boat riding
9. Biking
10. Spa/Salon!
11. 2 restaurant and 1 cafe
-Fish Pond Restaurant - Fresh Tilapia and Bangus, yummy! Sarap din ng vegetables nila. Medyo mahal nga lang.
-Cusina De Oro - Value for money yung food dito. Masarap na, affordable pa. You've got to try their Beef Salpicao, Mushroom Ala Pobre, and Mixed Vegetables.
-Cafe' Veranda - Mostly drinks and pica-picas. Dito kami um-order ng Alcohol and pulutan. May videoke sila, 5 pesos per song.

Cons
- Di pa gawa yung amphi theater/stage and may isa pang pool na ikino-construct.
- Ala pa masyadong butterflies sa sanctuary.
- May beach pero di pwedeng paliguan.
- Maalat ang tubig... Mahirap magsabon at shampoo, hehe.
- Hanggang 12pm lang yung bar so you have to order tons of alcohol and food bago magsara.

Pros
- Jacuzzis!
- The staff is great! Very friendly and accomodating!
- Food!
- Landscape... Maganda pagkakagawa sa kanya kahit medyo maliit lang yung lugar.
- Spa/Hair Salon... Had a Thai massage for only 500 pesos for an hour. Not bad for a luxurious spa/salon handled by Ricky Reyes huh?

Rating:
Food - 8 (value for money lalo na sa cusina de oro)
Facilities - 7 (pwede na, nothing special except for the spa and jacuzzis)
Pool - 6 (maalat yung tubig and 4 ft lang yung pinaka-malalim)
Beach - 4 (masarap tumambay lalo na pag sunset pero di pwedeng maligo, tsk tsk)
Landscape - 8 (maganda yung lugar but di pa fully developed)
Staff - 10 (napaka-bait at asikasong-asikaso kami dito, lahat ng nakakasalubong namin laging naka-ngiti at panay bati hanggang sa pag-uwi namin.)

Overall rating - mga 7.5 siguro.

The Verdict? Maybe wait for a year or two for it to fully develop. Hope the locals would allow the beach to be fixed.

The Academy Awards is near so had to watch some ‘em via the good old J. Sparrow.

I think Brokeback Mountain is too over hyped, two gay lovers... That's pretty much about it, ‘bat ang laki ng problema nila?
Pride and Prejudice is a nice romantic period movie. (I haven’t read the book yet though)
Capote had a great performance by Hoffman! My bet for best actor.
Munich was good but a little boring.
Syriana is my favorite among the nominees. Ang tag line nga nila is “Everything is connected…” It kept me glued until the end; I actually missed some details and had to rewind it a little before fully digesting the movie. They definitely have my vote for best picture and best supporting actor by Clooney.
Walk the Line, hmmm… Ok lang, nothing special.

Next would be Memoirs of a Geisha and Good night, and Good luck. (If I’m still awake).

Kamikazee (Maharot) - Laughing trip! Astig! Gotta give these guys a lot of credit, kakatawa talaga! Rock meets Novelty... Imagine Parokya ni Edgar with better musical skills and a lot louder.
Mishka Adams (God bless the Child) - Five words to sum her up... "Local version of Norah Jones". If you like NJ (like me), then you'll love MA. Jazz it up!

We stayed the night before at a hotel para di masyadong hassle kinabukasan. We ended up sleeping at around 3 in the morning! Ginising pa kami nung make-up artist ng around 6 am, kala (daw) nya dun yung room nung bride...

Got the new SE K750i. I finally upgraded my phone after more than 1 long year, my 6th phone in 4 years... Sold my P800 for a bargain of 7.5k and added my 13th month/Christmas bonus (sigh) for the unit. But it's all worth it! 'Tis the best phone on it's price range, thank God only a few people knows this...

Also purchased a few new Cd's...
Nirvana (Sliver) - A must for Cobain fanatics... Puro rarities, demos, and live cuts ang tracks dito. Very raw and pure ang musika!
My Chemical Romance (3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge) - I never liked Emo/Screamo type of music but this one is an exemption, pasado sila on my book... Gasgas na nga sakin yung track na "Helena" and "Ghost of You".
Dicta License (Paghilom) - The Philippine version of RATM no longer sounds like Rage, mala Tool and a Perfect Circle na, hehe...

On a final note, I'm officially broke! Hehe! (Tsk, tsk... Pano na yung Boracay sa summer?)

Purchased some CD's these past few days. All from local artist, ika nga e "suportahan taka"...

- Pedicab (Tugish Takish) - If you like the sound of "Gorillaz" then you'll love this band. Their music is a mixture of Electronika and Alternative coupled with witty lyrics plus cool visuals, Astig!
- Imago (Take 2) - Ayos tong grupong to, pinaghalo ang Folk and NU Rock in their music. It's like "the Sundays" or "Cynthia Alexander" fused with "Garbage" or "Hole".
- Barbie (the Singles) - An anthology of her works since her stint with "Hungry Young Poets" to "Barbie's Cradle". Talented talaga tong si Ms. Almalbis, cute pa (hehe, weakness ko talaga ang mga cute), and no offense to the supporters of Ms. Nadal, but, I honestly think that Barbie has twice or even thrice the talent but only half the luck of Kitchie.
- Urbandub (Influence) - Arguably the best band to come out from the south, cool guitar riffs, Highly recommended!

Woohoo! I got a new gear (ummmm, old pala)... Hehe. A Canon SLR film camera with a standard 50mm lens, Flash, 200mm lens, a macro lens, and a lens extension. It's pretty old but very useful and educational... Back to basics ika nga, I would like to develop the technical skills as well as the discipline with this manual camera. Yun nga lang, expensive ang film and developing.

3. June 25th, Saturday... My Ermat's Birthday! The Valmores clan was, as always, on the scene except for Tito Ceasar and his family, di kasi nakisama yung panahon and umulan... But of course, the celebration was overflowing with food and booze. Hallelujah!

4. June 26th, Sunday... Dave, May, Len, Bernie and I went to visit our friend, the Garcia family at Silang, and as usual, malapit na ang Tagaytay so road trip narin. The place has always been one of my favorite spots to go to because of it's accessibility, padami pa ng padami ang mga resto kaya very wide ang selection ng pagkain. It's great that Bang and Ley decided to plan their wedding there. Can't wait for December...

A friend asked me this a few months ago and until now hindi ko parin masagot, sus! The only thing I can remember is that madalas kantahin ito nila Tina Paner, Sheryl Cruz, Manilyn Reynes, Isabel Granada (with Chuckie Dreyfus), at ang Favorite ni Othie na si Caselyn Francisco (hehe, joke lang 'pre)... I can't get it out of my system, medyo marami narin akong natanungan, and all of 'em ay napapakamot ng ulo. It's a well known song but no one seems to know the artist or even the song title. Baka may sa demonyo tong kantang to, hehe...

Speaking of the 80's/90's, I feel pity for the kids nowadays, they never seem to enjoy their childhood like we do back then. Just ask them kung nakatikim na sila ng alatiris and bayabas, or if they played langit-lupa, taguan-pung, kalog (wherein kinikiskis kong mabuti yung pamato kong tansan ng san miguel), piko, tumbang preso, syato, and my favorite na tex (pamato ko nun ay yung nilukot na "boy negro" number 77, hehe). I remember during elementary that girls like to collect stationery (I never knew what for), a friend also told me that she likes to let other people sign her "slumbook" just to know kung yung type nya has a crush on her, hehe. Boys usually watch Shaider just to get a glimpse of Annie's white underwear.
Sigh! I miss the those days, life was much more simpler back then...

Is it a privilege of working in a government institution to meet TV personalities? A few months ago, Marieton Pacheco was doing an interview, then last friday iba naman... While working on an exhibit in our office lobby, nagkaroon bigla ng commotion, (syempre nakiusyoso din ako), yun pala it was Ara Mina and her sister, Christine Reyes. I was hesitant at first, (baka isipin nila jologs pala mga tao dito, hehe) but when my officemates started taking pictures, I started walking towards them and setting up my cameraphone. While they were busy with Ara Mina, I noticed no one was even paying attention to Christine even when she's (in my opinion) hotter than her sister. I approached her cautiously and asked permission if I could take her picture, then she threw a little smile and nodded, I was starstrucked, I took some pictures and thanked her then left. I don't have anyone to ask to take our picture together so sayang, oh well...
