The Academy Awards is near so had to watch some ‘em via the good old J. Sparrow.

I think Brokeback Mountain is too over hyped, two gay lovers... That's pretty much about it, ‘bat ang laki ng problema nila?
Pride and Prejudice is a nice romantic period movie. (I haven’t read the book yet though)
Capote had a great performance by Hoffman! My bet for best actor.
Munich was good but a little boring.
Syriana is my favorite among the nominees. Ang tag line nga nila is “Everything is connected…” It kept me glued until the end; I actually missed some details and had to rewind it a little before fully digesting the movie. They definitely have my vote for best picture and best supporting actor by Clooney.
Walk the Line, hmmm… Ok lang, nothing special.

Next would be Memoirs of a Geisha and Good night, and Good luck. (If I’m still awake).
